Internships The Museum offers opportunities for internships that provide real-world experience and insight into the museum profession. Successful candidates will be supported, informed, and encouraged by Museum staff over the course of their journey from student to professional. Our interns will work directly with Museum staff and be embedded in a department at the Museum. F.A.Q. What are the Museum's hours? Hours The Museum is temporarily closed for renovation. Where can I park? Temporarily park in one of the Museum's two reserved spots in the Boswell lot off of Jamestown Road. Enter the Museum to receive a yellow Muscarelle Museum of Art temporary parking permit from the security desk. Be sure to have your license number for the permit. Return to your vehicle and find a spot within one of the Faculty/Staff zones in the Morton lot. The Museum endeavors to be an integrated part of studies across all disciplines on campus as well as serving our community. The Museum offers first-hand research with the authentic object, as well collections research and opportunities to study world-renowned objects through traveling exhibitions. Our interns and volunteers research our collections first-hand, and receive unique opportunities to curate thought-provoking exhibitions with the guidance of our professional staff. Become a Docent, Friend, or Intern at the Muscarelle! Working with our community is an important part of the Muscarelle’s mission. In addition to Becoming a member, making a donation, and attending events and exhibitions, volunteering is a wonderful way to participate. Docents The Docents are dedicated to extending the mission of the Museum as an institution devoted to arts education in the community and throughout the region.
